Make the first record useful.
Start with the five-step getting-started guide, then use these habits as your case develops.
Separate what happened from when you recorded it
Enter the event date as accurately as you can. Preserve the source and note any uncertainty. A system timestamp shows when a record was created; it does not independently confirm when the event happened.
Keep the original
Upload the original file where possible. Evidence upload currently accepts files up to 20 MB. Keep your own copy too. Compliance documents support PDF, JPEG, PNG and WebP. Avoid editing a source file just to make it look clearer.
Attach context, not just files
Identify the source, the date received and the relevant case. Add the action you took and the outcome. LetRecord does not automatically import your email inbox or WhatsApp history.
Review before sharing
Check names, contact information, addresses, free-text notes and images. Export options can exclude some fields, but you should still read the final PDF. Share only what the recipient needs.
If access fails
Check the app address, your internet connection and your email/password. Use Forgot your password on the sign-in screen if needed. Do not send passwords or sensitive tenant records to a public website.
Public sample
The sample PDF and manifest contain fictional information. They show the export format and are not evidence about any real person or property.
